The Basque Country is located in the northern part of Spain. This region is famous for its fierce people, breathtaking landscapes and Michelin-starred restaurants. The best companion for their mouth-watering gastronomy is their local white wine, the so-called Txakoli or Txakoliña.
All three Basque provinces produce their own wines, but possibly the most known is the Gipuzkoan one, the Getariako Txakoli. The area is characterized by small, family-run vineyards located on green hillsides. Many of them have stunning looks at the Cantabrian Sea.
For the label design, I drew inspiration from the all-shades-of-turquoise-colour water and the island they embrace around. The locals call the island Xagutxu ('little mouse'
in English) because of its shape, hence the naming. The colours are very refreshing and typical of the Basque coasts.
